Ten Gold Medals: Glory Or Freedom by Isaac Dostis is a children’s book of escape from Greece during Nazi occupation. Isaac Cohen was a superior athlete but had to use his medals to help save (along with the Greek population) his family from certain death. A true story of part of the author’s family’s survival. A New Jersey Holocaust Commission approved book. LIVE PERFORMANCES (Available March Through May) Common Ground focuses on the theme of silence and those who overcame it during the Holocaust and those in the white community who overcame it during the Civil Rights Movement. Includes a short vocabulary, show & discussion. The Trial Of Susan B. Anthony contends that one person can make a difference, and bring equality to the voting booth. Jury is chosen from the audience. Includes vocabulary, show & discussion. March is Women’s History month. Lives To Save: The Rescuers is the predecessor to the film of the same name. Includes vocabulary, show & discussion. We Are Not Alone: Greek Jews And The Holocaust tells the undertold story of the Holocaust in Greece where 87% of Jews were killed. This film also includes stories of rescue by the Greek population. Include a teacher’s guide. Lives To Save: The Rescuers is a series of vignettes of rescue in Europe during the holocaust, moral courage in the worst of times. This film is an award winner. It also includes an excellent teacher’s guide relating the Holocaust to today’s problems. Soulsaving: The Common Thread Of Kindness contrasts kindness that saved Holocaust victims and the kindnesses children perform today. Farewell My Island offers a look at how the Jews of Corfu, Greece, were taken off the island during the Holocaust. Includes survivor testimonies in Greek, with English subtitles. Time: 22 minutes Cost: $50 plus $4 p&h. The Jewish Image takes a look through visuals and music of how we see the image of the Jew during the Holocaust and how we see it now. An award winner.
